KL diners now have the chance to taste Bangkok without leaving town. From 2 September to 30 November 2025, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is hosting an exclusive dining takeover by Err by Bo.lan, a casual offshoot of the Michelin-starred Bo.lan in Bangkok.
The collaboration is part of an ongoing wave of culinary exchanges between KL and Bangkok, where chefs, bartenders and restaurants from both capitals frequently cross paths. What sets this one apart is its spirit: Err brings Thai street food culture into a polished hotel setting while staying true to its heart—punchy flavours, sustainable practices, everyday dishes elevated with premium ingredients, and of course the signature Thai heat.

Small Plate, Big Stories

Guests can explore the menu à la carte from as little as MYR 28 per dish, or opt for a lunch sharing set at MYR 130 for two, which lets diners pick any five dishes.
Expect flavour-packed plates like crispy turmeric fried squid, salted Spanish mackerel jasmine rice balls, braised beef cheeks with budu, and Thai green curry with aubergine and chicken on the bone. Homey desserts close the experience with coconut pudding and a soft-serve sandwich, keeping it fun and unfussy.

The dining experience is complemented by Thai-inspired cocktails and locally crafted drinks. A special collaboration with Malaysian kombucha brand WonderBrew adds another layer of flair, with limited-edition brews such as lime and lemongrass with chilli, and pineapple with Thai basil. For those who prefer something hoppier, Malaysia’s first award-winning craft brewery Paperkite is also on the menu, giving diners the chance to enjoy a fire-extinguishing pint of homegrown beer alongside Bangkok’s spirited flavours.

The Philosophy Behind the Plates

Err by Bo.lan is the brainchild of chefs Bo Songvisava and Dylan Jones, founders of one of Bangkok’s most respected Thai restaurants. Their philosophy is simple yet ambitious: take the everyday flavours of Thailand and reimagine them with sustainable sourcing, seasonal produce and a strong respect for tradition.
The name itself says it all. In Thai, “Err” conveys a sense of cheekiness or playfulness, a nod to the restaurant’s spirited approach to Thai street food culture. Where Bo.lan is known for its formality and fine-dining polish, Err offers an easier entry point—still thoughtful, still grounded in sustainability, but lighthearted and fun at the table.

Bo is a long-time advocate for culinary sustainability, recognised as Asia’s Best Female Chef in 2013, while Dylan brings experience from kitchens in Australia and London, most notably at the acclaimed Nahm. Together, they balance rustic Thai authenticity with a conscious approach to cooking, making their food as thoughtful as it is flavourful.
A Taste of Bangkok in the Heart of KL

For Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, the takeover is another step in positioning the hotel as a destination for experiences beyond its guestrooms. For local diners, it’s a rare chance to try a Bangkok favourite without hopping on a plane.
Err by Bo.lan’s takeover runs daily for lunch and dinner on Level 2 of Grand Hyatt KL, until 30 November 2025.
